Hey backers!
To celebrate the v1.0 release of SHIFT, we are hosting a public game jam on itch.io! Read below for more details:
Get ready to work those creative muscles 💪
We invite you to use the SHIFT Open License to create a game or supplement compatible with SHIFT!
Submit your work to the game jam from April 27, 2026 until May 31, 2026!
What is a game jam?
- A game jam is an event where people come together to make games during a set time period (in this case, April 27 until May 31).
- Game jams often have themes, prompts, or are geared towards specific rule sets, such as SHIFT.
- Game jams are a way to join a community of creators and showcase your creativity!
Can I join the game jam even if I am not a game designer?
Yes, creators of all experience levels are welcome, including those who have never made a game before! If you want to dip a toe into game design, SHIFT is a great starting point.

Spring has arrived, and so has v1.0 of the SHIFT RPG PDF! Thank you for all of the great feedback and helping make this release the best it can be!
We have a few final accessories to design and then all of the files can be sent off to the printers! Keep an eye out for manufacturing updates soon 👀

Hey Backers! Spring is just around the corner and the latest release of the SHIFT PDF is coming into full bloom! See below for our updated timeline:

- Edit: Complete!
- Designed PDF - Estimated release: March 27th 2026
We need one more week to polish up the design of the final PDF. Thank you for your patience! We can’t wait to get the full PDF to you!

PDF Release Delay

Happy new year, backers!
Hope you all have had a great holiday and have had many great SHIFT games!
After taking a look at SHIFT with fresh eyes from our winter break, the team has decided we need a bit more time to work on v1.0. What remains? We are going through editing and then design!
We’ve also received some amazing feedback on the latest release, we appreciate the feedback and are looking at incorporating some of those suggestions!
